– Paul Lithgow Shares Future Capabilities that Enable Flexibility and Scalability for Satellite Systems –

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. (Oct. 1, 2015) – NovaWurks™ Inc., a provider of high technology space products and services, announces today that Paul Lithgow, chief of advanced concepts at NovaWurks, will participate in this year’s Hosted Payload and Smallsat Summit as a panelist on the “How Businesses, Governments and Private Institutions Can Take Advantage of Weather Forecasting and Environmental Research Capabilities Offered by Hosted Payloads and Small Satellites” panel discussion. Lithgow, along with other industry experts will discuss the options available for businesses interested in utilizing Earth monitoring, sensing, weather forecasting or imaging services provided via commercially hosted payloads or small satellites.
Held in Washington D.C. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Thursday, October 8, the Summit profiles in-depth sessions that dive into issues related to hosted payloads and small satellites industries. As a long-time industry veteran, Lithgow brings more than 30 years of experience in engineering and management handling space product launches for companies along with 20 years of aerospace experience with the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Air Force Reserve.

“With the incredible rate of new technologies being developed and offered on a commercial level, there are endless possibilities for a business in a wide variety of industries to send hosted payloads via custom small satellites into space,” said Talbot Jaeger, founder and chief technologist officer at NovaWurks. “Through our work at NovaWurks, we are able to offer payload services and satellite systems with increased flexibility and scalability.”

NovaWurks provides space services for organizations to reach orbit using Hyper-Integrated Satlets (HISat™), the company’s flagship technology platform. HISats are able to configure/aggregate to become a flexible and reliable spacecraft for a variety of mission purposes and provide a safe, rapid and cost-effective solution to reach space. The company is currently working on DARPA’s Phoenix Program, building satlet solutions for flexible, cost-effective satellite operations in GEO.

The “How Businesses, Governments and Private Institutions Can Take Advantage of Weather Forecasting and Environmental Research Capabilities Offered by Hosted Payloads and Small Satellites” panel discussion takes place on Thursday, Oct. 8 from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM EDT.
